August was a busy month for the Transparent Container team, but not just on the manufacturing side. Our team engaged in plenty of community-building and celebration this month. Here are the highlights!
The Transparent Container Company Picnic was held on Saturday, August 4. Employees like Becky Romo [pictured with family] brought their families to Lake Park and celebrated another year together with dance lessons at the luau.
Transparent Container owner, Dan Griewe, also announced Transparent Container’s scholarship recipients at the employee picnic. TCC awards two scholarships every year to children of TCC employees. The Byron L. Fisher, Jr. Scholarship of Merit award winner is Xitlaly Viveros [pictured]. Viveros is a student at Columbia College where she studies Cinema Arts and Science. Her father Manuel Viveros is a set-up technician. The Sue Greiwe Scholarship of Merit award winner is Lauren Kats, a student at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Her father Dave Kats is the Design and Service Manager.
Transparent Container hosts employee appreciation bar-b-ques at each facility every summer. Plant managers and team managers run the grills and serve their teams to thank them for their hard work. The Paperboard Facility hosted their picnic on Friday, August 10. Andy Robles, Monica Stepp, Evelyn Diaz, and Charlotte [pictured] attended with the rest of the Paperboard team.
Our HR department coordinates Health Fairs for our employees to help keep everyone on track to achieve healthy lifestyles. The Bensenville Health Fair was Friday, August 17, and included visits with nutritionists, as well as mini-massages for staff!
The employee appreciation bar-b-que at Bensenville on Friday, August 24, included celebration of some milestone anniversaries. Transparent Container employees Steve Fifer, VP of Operations, celebrated 25 years with TCC. Guadalupe Manzanares, Packer in Bensenville, also celebrated her 25th anniversary with TCC. Danelia García [pictured with Plant Manager, Tony Bernichio] is a Packer in Bensenville and was presented an award as she celebrated her 30th anniversary. Bertha Jiménez, a Packer in Bensenville, was recognized for 32 years with Transparent Container.
